About The FilmLight Colour Awards
The FilmLight Colour Awards, now in its fourth year, celebrates the art of colour across the world and aims to reflect the cultural, visual and technical values of the international colour grading community of today. It aspires to encourage the growth of the colourist’s prestige at all levels – from junior colourists to industry veterans – and to recognise the value they bring to the film industry.
The Colour Awards have been organised in association with professional bodies and are open to colourists using any grading technology, with the winners announced at EnergaCAMERIMAGE in Poland.
The programme features six categories: colourist in a theatrical feature; colourist in a non-theatrical or television series production; colourist in a commercial; colourist in a music video; a category 'Spotlight' open to colourists in a lower budget feature and a new category 'Emerging Talent' open to young colourists aged between 18-35 and solely for commercial and music video projects.
Entry to the Colour Awards is free.
Colourists using any type of colour grading systems are welcome.
Note: There are no public screenings of submitted segments and your project will only be viewed by FilmLight Colour Awards employees and jury members on a secure platform. In the event that your work is nominated and you have not granted us prior permission to use moving images from your entry, we will contact you to discuss alternative options. We will not publish anything without your prior permission.
See the Schedule section for key dates for 2024.
Welcome and thank you for registering to submit your work for the 2024 FilmLight Colour Awards.
